-My MBTI is INFP, and every explanation about INFP on Internet perfectly fits to me. I get energy when I am alone, am intuitive, (always) postpone work I have to do, and am emotional.  -I love exercising and have done various sports since I was young-I've done mountain climbing for 2 year, taekwondo for 3 years, volleyball for 4 years, and weight training for 1 year. However, it doesn't mean that I am active and love to move around all the time. I hate going up to a cafeteria or my room using stairs and don't walk more than 100 steps on weekends. I merely like doing 'sports' not 'moving'. (Maybe that's why I haven't lost any weight by exercising.)  -I LOVE musicals and plays. I am sure that once I escape KMLA and start to live in Seoul, I will watch play or musicals literally every single day, which I actually did during a summer vacation. I certainly believe that musicals and plays make me alive, and it is why I am only applying to universities near...

Volleyball, the best sports in KMLA

I think volleyball is the best sport to play in KMLA. Unlike other sport like basketball and soccer, players don't have to move much from their position. The best volleyball player doesn't get the ball that goes to other player's positions. If they do so, the teamwork will be broken and the play will be a mess. Because students don't have to move much from their position, they can save energy for studying. However, it doesn't mean that volleyball isn't fun as other sports. Almost all students who took volleyball class last year, even including those who have only studied in KMLA and have never played sports before, said that it was fun, and most of them chose to continue playing it in university. However, I think they don't know real fun in volleyball. Due to the COVID-19, they were not in school, so when they were back in school, the teacher put(?) played the game. Some could say that game is the most fun part, but the real fun comes before the game.  Befo...

To God (2)

To God. God, I decided not to trust you anymore. I feel like you are merely an illusion now. When I confessed this to my friend, B, she told me that faith is not what I can have just because I want it, but what you present to people who crave for it and all I can do now is to pray for that faith. But what is faith exactly? Isn ’ t it just a result of giving up having a question on your existence and hypnotizing myself that you are real? I can ’ t even believe that millions of people who don ’ t believe in you are all committing a sin and eventually will go to hell. Those numerous little children in Africa who died after lifetime exploitation of labor under an evil boss... Are you going to turn your face away from them and just send them to hell, saying ‘ you didn ’ t believe in me. ’ ? They didn ’ t even have a chance to know you. They must not have seen a bible for their entire life. Even if they attain salvation and go to heaven, how will you take responsibility f...

To God.

To God. God, I decided not to trust you anymore. I feel like you are merely an illusion now. I feel like ‘full faith on you’ that people talk about is a result of self-brainwashing. When I confessed this to mom, a committed Christian, she seemed to be very angry. Maybe, she felt like I was telling her like this. ‘congratulations! You succeeded brainwashing yourself into believing that a fake is a real!’ Of course, I didn’t mean it, but everyone whom I confessed this reacted similarly. In fact, there was a person who showed a different reaction from others. My friend, B, told me that a faith is not what I can have just because I want it, but what you present to people who crave for it and all I can do now is to pray for that faith. But I can’t believe it either. What is faith exactly? Isn’t it just a result of giving up having a question on your existence and hypnotizing myself that you are a real? I can’t even believe that millions of people who don’t be...

Now I know.

A grim-faced girl who is waving her hands violently to get a taxi on streets. Her red face was soaked with tears continuously falling down. Because she couldn't breathe properly, she had to keep making weird noise trying to breathe. Everybody passing her by was glancing at her wondering what is wrong with her. Some of them might have wondered whether they should help her, but they could not get close to her easily because she seemed to be out of mind. She seemed literally crazy.   This was how I looked when I heard that dad collapsed and was rushed to the emergency room from mom on the phone. Because she told me that I should keep it secret from my little sister, I had to suppress my surprise in house and burst into tears on streets, getting taxi to go to a hospital dad's in.   "God, please secure him."   In a taxi, I kept praying to god wishing him to be safe. I wished it was a slight sickness.   "Mom! Is he okay? Can I see him?"  I as...

Why you should...

Speech 2 Prompt: Why you should.... Come up with a title using the above, and state it at the beginning of your speech. Keep in mind that this is basically open topic, and can be either a warning against something or a positive piece of advice. I suggested KMLA, but you mostly voted to make it open. My advice: Write it out completely and follow a Journey/Character Arc and segment it into a Memory Palace with CLEARLY defined segments. Requirments: You must use ONE MEANGINGFUL PAUSE in your speech. I will demonstrate this. You must make use of at least one segment of DIALOGUE.0  You must use the expression - "For the love of god" one time. 0 You must use REPETITION at least once. Ex: "Maybe it was because the weather was rainy. Maybe it was because my shoes were wet. Maybe it was because my umbrella was broken. But clearly, the weather made my mood only worse, so I screamed at my brother." 0  Have fun, don't be afraid to read from a paper if you aren't fully c...

Essence material

Hye Won, who was busy adapting to a high school that she haven't gone for a year, was surprised when housemaster called her name to remind her that she didn't take her parcel. Thinking that her parents might have sent her a parcel, she went down to a lobby to take it. However, parcel was too small to say that her parents sent it since parents told her that they would send a lot of snacks in a big box. Plus, the sender's name on the box was weird - 'dung u ri deul (덩어리들)'. Since everything about the parcel was saying that it was not for her, she suspected that housemaster called a wrong name for an instant, but the recipient name on the box was definitely hers - the only name in the school. Therefore, she just decided to take it and check what it is. Maybe, she would be able to remember the parcel that she ordered a long time ago but cannot remember.      'Hello, master! It's nice to meet you :) '  A small note with this message was the first thin...

U island

Is there any place that you can't go again even if you want to? I have. U island - a place where I saw hundreds of blackfaced spoonbills.  U island prohibits public access because of its location that is so close to North Korea (A soldier told us that one soldier escaped from North Korea and came here through U island in the past) It was lucky for our DMZ exploration team got a chance to look through it for exploration purposes. (The government might have allowed us to explore it because CNN was filming DMZ, exploring it with us.) After we heard precautions from soldiers, such as 'don't take any pictures and upload it' or 'Don't go too close to a barbed-wine fence', we went into a small guard post where we can see U island at a glance. As soon as we finished installing telescope and adjusting its focus, we started to find blackfaced spoonbills, and I couldn't stop overusing exclamation. Can you guess why? We didn't have to 'find' them, but ha...

I remember... ㅜㅜ

I remember Mr. Sung's scream at me at volleyball practice. I remember he screamed, "If you can't get another ball, you are out of the team, and we are not starting the team practice until she gets at least one ball!" I remember it was 10th times I missed the ball that he passed me. I remember how fast the ball that Mr. Sung passed me was; it was definitely faster than anything that I have seen in my life.  I remember the ball bounced off my arms out of the court-a place where I should never be passing the ball. I remember the emotion I felt at that moment; I was miserable - everybody was watching me, wishing to continue the team practice after I get a ball properly, but I was keep failing.  I remembered an article saying, 'if you are standing on the edge of a precipice, you will exhibit the potential that you have never experienced in your life.', which didn't fit to me. I remember uncontrollable burst of tears that obstructed my field of vision; the ball ...

Lab Note #4 Second experiment

Lab Note #4 Second experiment  Since the previous result was not clear and cells did not get reduced as much as I thought, I decided to the second experiment by putting an increased concentration of PLA2 and 5FU on colorectal cells.  Method: 1. I took plates with cells(WIDR and HCT15) out of a culture medium. 2. I got rid of liquid media using a suction machine.  3. I put 500ul of TE buffer so that cells on the bottom of the plates float. After I put them on the centrifuge I waited for 5 minutes. (If the cells are on TE buffer too long, cells can die.)  4. After 5 minutes, I slightly shook the plate with TE buffer and cells so that the cells are detached from the bottom of the plates.  5. I put them on two 1.5ml tubes. 6. I put the tubes on a centrifuge that spin in a speed of 7500 rpm for 2 minutes. Then I can saw cells on the bottom of the tube separated from TE buffer.  7. I sucked TE buffer carefully so that the cells don't get sucked up together....
